JMU DANCE SHOWCASE
The JMU Dance Showcase is one of the most anticipated events of the year for the Latin Dance Club. It is a night dedicated to highlighting the artistry, discipline, and passion that define Latin dance at James Madison University.
Throughout the evening, audiences will experience an exciting lineup of performances featuring salsa, bachata, merengue, cha cha, and other Latin styles. From high energy group routines to expressive partner pieces and captivating solo performances, each number reflects months of choreography, rehearsals, and collaboration. Dancers of all experience levels take the stage, whether it is their first performance or their final showcase as graduating seniors.
A special part of the JMU Dance Showcase is the spirit of collaboration that extends beyond campus. The Latin Dance Club proudly welcomes guest performers from neighboring universities, including Virginia Tech and University of Virginia. These visiting teams bring their own styles, training backgrounds, and creative energy, creating a powerful exchange of talent between schools. In addition to intercollegiate guests, the showcase also features other JMU dance organizations and performance groups on campus.
