"Can I join if I have never danced before?"
OF COURSE!!! We welcome all skill levels to attend our practices! Our instructor team works hard to help you during classes with any moves you are confused about and breaks them down step by step. We LOVE teaching and spreading our culture and are glad you are interested in being a part of that here!
"What are club dues?"
Due payments go directly back into services that we’re able to offer you all, including hosting of events, class materials, and our showcase which, as of this semester, costs around $500. Due costs per semester for the 2025-2026 academic year are $15!
"Where and when do you hold practices?"
We hold classes on Mondays and Thursdays each week.
Our Monday classes run from 8:00-9:30 PM at UREC Group Exercise Studio 1.
Our Thursday classes run from 7:30-9:00 PM at UREC-HAL Studio.
"Where do you Latin Dance?"
We go to many different locations including but not limited to Crosskeys Vinyards, Broad Porch, and C'ville Bachata Socials.
We organize rides before events and typically get a discounted ticket price for members in our club!
"Can I be an EXEC and Instructor?"
YES! Elections are held at the end of each Spring semester. Each officer position is up for grabs! Active LDC Members will vote in confidence for the next officers and instructors of Latin Dance Club for the next academic year! We have changed instructor to an exec-board position; however, you can still possess that role as an addition to your primary exec-board position if you wish.
